Description
This recipe is so great and easy and everyone seems to love it! I have even entered it in the fair here and it won a first place ribbon for cake mix variation. Hope you enjoy! The recipe comes from the cookbook Heavenly Dishes compiled by Hills Crossing Baptist Church. I love church/organization cookbooks and this one was given to me by my husband's aunt Maude in Clarkesville, Georgia. The recipe was orginally contributed by Christine Church, but I have made some adjustments from her orginal recipe.
Ingredients
crushed pineapple (20 oz can, undrained)
fresh or frozen blueberries
yellow cake mix (regular box)
Notes
You can substitue other friuts for the blueberries. I often use it with mixed frozen fruit that I have on hand and it works great. The only difference is that i just put the fruit on the bottom of pan and pour the batter on top instead of mixing the fruit in with the batter.
Instructions
Combine all ingredients. Bake in a greased 9x13 pan at 350 degrees for 40 minutes until golden brown.
