Special Event Christmas Shopping
What special events that involve shopping are you attending this year? Now is the time to look up all the information about the event and put the dates and times on your calendar, so you do not forget. If you need to buy tickets for the event, call or email the event and ask when the tickets go on sale and fill in your calendar with the date.
Every year I patiently wait for a special event in our town called the Christmas Cottage. It is an event where local ladies, who are much more creative than I am, sell items they have made throughout the year. I know at this annual event, the weekend before Thanksgiving, I can find some wonderful gifts. Many people know about events such as this in their towns, and I encourage you to call ahead and find out the date and times for the current year’s event. Many times the event will have a web site and offer details regarding discounted entry tickets, if they require an entry fee, listing of vendors, special events such as book signings, musical entertainment schedules, etc. So be sure to ask about how to find them on the web or Facebook.
November and December are also times that churches hold bazaars, non-profit organizations hold special events with silent auctions, etc., so be sure to ask around to your friends and family to find out what type of special shopping events are being held near you. Once you have dates and times, write the information down on your calendar to keep yourself from overbooking.
